Traditionally the Soror Mystica, sister in mystery, is the equal but opposite feminine counterpart of the male alchemist. She moves fluidly with and around her counterpart while focusing energy and attention on their shared purpose in subtle interaction. This union is responsive and intense, working toward the alchemical attempt to bring together opposites.
Two females dressed in white let go of their barriers of self-protection to become receptive to the uncontrolled energies of their natural surroundings. They purge themselves of autonomy, instead creating a protective circle around each other. In this state of seeking they become one essential being within a sacred space. They face the abyss of non-meaning as greater than their individual selves.
